Community Relations and Adaptations Group Therapy Description

Community Relations and Adaptations Group Therapy Description

(Middle School-Young Adults)

This 8 week group is designed to take students into the community on 3 different outings to reinforce academics, social skills and behavior at the highest level through real world settings. This program is in our Tier III for social skills and behavior . Working with community themes and then directly in community locations challenges students to access and apply their prior knowledge while maintaining appropriate behavior skills, as simple activities can take on a new level of complexity while working in continually changing and loosely structured environments.
