This 8 week group goes beyond the walls of classroom instruction by functionally teaching students how to generalize and apply reading, writing and math skills as it relates to daily living, community settings and real world situations such as home, school and vocational environments. Social skills and behaviors are reinforced at a higher level throughout the program. Our lessons blend social development and academics through multi-part themes with small group interaction such as cooking, planting, household safety, vocational experiences and assembly/building of fun projects through hands-on real life experiences.
