Refunds and exchanges
Before completing your purchase, please carefully review your shopping cart. You may return most new, unopened items sold by Speech and Voice Enterprises within 15 days from the date of sale. Items that are excluded from a refund are: The American Accent Assessment and Screening 101, The Identifying Accents Practice Kit and the F.A.S.T. Functional Adult Screening Tool. These items are too sensetive for a copyright violation and do not qualify for a refund. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks from the date the item was recevied, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (2 to 3 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
For college universities buying in bulk, books can be returned up to 6 months from the date of the sale.
Billing information verification
Orders are processed only after a billing address and other billing information has been verified. Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for an order that can delay processing and delivery. In these cases, our customer service representative will attempt to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase. If we are unable to reach you after our initial attempt, We may cancel your order without further notice.

Refund, Exchange and Credit Policy for Seminars
Refund policy when a participant must cancel
Cancelation requests must be made in writing and received in our office or emailed 10 days prior to the seminar date for a refund. A cancellation fee of $35.00 will be assessed for processing. When cancellation is made 3-9 days prior to seminar date, 50% of the tuition minus the $35.00 processing fee will be returned or there is the option to take another program at the same value anywhere nationwide. When cancelling 48 hours prior to the seminar a refund is not given however, the participant will have the opportunity to take another program at the same value anywhere nationwide.
Refund policy of fees when program is cancelled by Speech and Voice Enterprises
In the unlikely event that Speech and Voice Enterprises must cancel a program a full refund will be given in the following order:
- Course paid by credit card: A full refund to the card will occur no later than 7 days after the cancelation notification.
- Course paid by check: Retuned by mail if not cashed within 10 business days of date of cancelation or a new check will be mailed within 10 business days of date of cancelation.
Resolution of seminar conflict
If a course participant is not satisfied with the quality or content of the program, a refund will be provided if the seminar administer is notified by the first break or 2 hours of the program. There is also the option to register in any other program nationwide at the same course value if the current program is not meeting a participants needs or the learning objectives was outside of their perception. Speech and Voice Enterprises will work with participants to resolve any issue that relates to the learning and the comfort of the program. If it is an issue of comfort or visibility of the presentation, Speech and Voice Enterprises will work with the facility to ensure the needs of the participant is met. Speech and Voice Enterprises will do what is reasonable and necessary to proactively resolve complaints,
concerns or potential issue on site.
Partial credit
There are occasions when a participant has to leave a program early.
If a participant is not eligible to receive a full credit, an adjustment will be made and their CEU certificate will be sent no later than 14 days after the program date. The program participant will be eligible to receive (.1) credit for every hour of programming. For less than one hour, no credit will be offered.
There is a 4 hour minimum requirement to receive any credit in a course.
Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of our users and the importance of the information they entrust to us. We summarize below the basic information policies and practices in place on our website.
Identify theft prevention and privacy is a top priority for Speech and Voice Enterprises. When a credit card is submitted, ASHA number, e-mail and address as well as other private information is secure. Online payments are secure with Authorize.Net. Significant safeguards are taken to ensure privacy. Private information is encrypted and nothing is saved on a public server. With financial information that is sent via fax or mail order form, as soon as the information is processed the information is terminated. Past participant attendance records are kept in a locked file and in a locked office. After 2 years, the records are terminated. Email and mailing addresses are on file for the notification of upcoming events or program materials. This information is completely confidential and never made public or sold.

Information we may collect

Same Day Cancellation Allowances
When there is snow or severe weather and you feel that driving is too dangerous you have the option to cancel your appointment without any penalty.
Program Fee Refunds
Program fees are non-refundable. We understand that circumstances change. If meeting the demand of the schedule is too difficult you have the option to take a program break and return to your remaining sessions when the timing is best for you. If you return 1 year after the first date of your session, you will be expected to pay the prorated difference of the tuition in the event that it has increased. If you leave the area, services can be delivered through SKYPE, our tele-training program.
Payment Schedule for Time-line Programs
The first payment is due before or at the first session of the program which includes the material fee. If paying in installments, the second and/or third payment is due in 4 week intervals. Dates are outlined on the fee schedule for each individual program. |
Holidays and Weather
Beyond Classroom Walls follows the Cherry Creek School District calendar for quarter dates and holidays. If area public schools cancel due to weather, our programs will also be cancelled for that day. If weather occurs later that day creating an early dismissal, or after school programs and college classes are cancelled, Beyond Classroom Walls will also cancel programming.
In the event that this occurs, room has been allocated in the calendar to offer 1 make-up session. If we are encountering a severe weather season and more than 1 session is cancelled the pro-rated amount for that missed session will be refunded at the end of the quarter or can be applied toward the tuition for the following quarter.
Absences
In the event that your child is absent for a session, it is a lost session. Pro-rated refunds are not offered. However, a brief outline of the session lesson will be provided when your child returns and as a family it will be recommended that the primary vocabulary concepts be reviewed and key lesson points be rehersed.
Program Fee Refunds
Group tuition is non-refundable. Please understand that there are enrollment closures to keep the groups small and opportunity for learning high. We understand that life happens and changes. If your child must discontinue attending for 50% or more of the sessions remaining, your child may return to a new group within a year from registration, provided the enrollment limit has not been met. The full fee will be returned at the end of the first program's session in the event the instructors feel your child's needs cannot be met for the designed group.
Payment Schedule for Paying in Installments
To register for a program, a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due. The funds will be applied toward the tuition. The first payment is due before or at the first session of the program. If paying by installments, the final payment is due at week 4 of the program.
The full fee will be returned at the end of the first program's session in the event the instructors feel your child's needs cannot be met for the designed group. |
