F.A.S.T. Functional Adult Screening Tool
(Peterson, Elizabeth. 2004)
This is a specific language and cognitive profile to be used by speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists to evaluate neurologically impaired adults. The assessment only takes 30 minutes and the CD allows for printing the portions you want to use. No other materials are required because you use items available in the environment.
The language portion allows you to assess:
- Following Directions
- Vocabulary
- Sentence and Conversational Topics Through Real Life Measures
The cognitive portion allows you to assess:
- Orientation
- Attention
- Biographical, Short Term and Long Term Memory
- New Learning.
- Problem Solving and Reasoning
- Functional Reading and Writing Form Included
*This assessment is Medicare and F.I.M. friendly and sets you up to measure small increments of improvement for documentation. Only 30 minutes to administer.
